Cozy Christmas Chair Giveaway – Official Contest Rules**
1. CONTEST
1.1 La-Z-Boy Vancouver Island (“The Sponsor”) is the sole administrator of the Cozy Christmas Chair Giveaway (the “Contest”).
1.2 The Contest begins at 10:00 a.m. PST on [Start Date], and closes at 5:00 p.m. PST on [End Date] (the “Contest Period”).
1.3 The Contest consists of one (1) random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1 This Contest is open to individuals who:
(a) Complete an official entry ballot in-store and place it into the designated ballot box located at any La-Z-Boy Vancouver Island showroom;
(b) Are legal residents of Vancouver Island, British Columbia; and
(c) Are 19 years of age or older (“Entrants”).
2.2 The Contest is not open to employees, contractors, representatives, or agents of La-Z-Boy Vancouver Island, or members of their immediate households, whether related or not.
2.3 By submitting an entry, the Entrant acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Official Contest Rules (the “Rules”).
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 No purchase is necessary. Entrants must complete an official ballot and place it in the ballot box at any of the three La-Z-Boy Vancouver Island showroom locations.
3.2 Limit: one (1) entry per person, using a unique email address. Duplicate ballots or entries using the same email address may be voided at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
3.3 The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected entries, all of which will be declared void.
3.4 All entries are subject to verification at any time for any reason. The Sponsor may require proof of identity and eligibility in a form acceptable to the Sponsor (including government-issued photo identification).
4. PRIZE
4.1 The Prize consists of one (1) La-Z-Boy recliner, as displayed in-store at the time of entry, valued up to $[Retail Value] CAD (the “Prize”).
4.2 The Prize must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions, exchanges, or cash redemption. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
5. HOW TO WIN
5.1 One (1) potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place within ten (10) business days following the close of the Contest Period at La-Z-Boy Vancouver Island’s administrative office.
5.2 The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
5.3 The potential winner will be contacted by email at the address provided on their ballot. The potential winner will have seven (7) days from initial contact to respond and claim the Prize.
5.4 If the potential winner does not respond within the allotted time, is found to be ineligible, or does not comply with these Rules, the Sponsor reserves the right to void that entry and select another potential winner. This process may continue until a winner is confirmed.
6. SKILL-TESTING QUESTION
6.1 To be declared the official winner and claim the Prize, the selected Entrant must correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing mathematical question without mechanical or other assistance.
Example skill-testing question:
7 + 5 – 3 = ?
6.2 Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question may result in disqualification and selection of a new potential winner.
7. RELEASE AND PUBLICITY
7.1 The potential winner may be required to complete and return a Contest Winner Release Form within five (5) business days of receipt. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
7.2 By accepting the Prize, the Entrant releases the Sponsor and its employees from any liability associated with participation, prize acceptance, or contest administration.
7.3 The winner grants the Sponsor the right to use their name, city/town, and photograph for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS
8.1 The decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest.
8.2 The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time without prior notice, for any reason.
8.3 This Contest is subject to all provincial and federal laws of British Columbia and Canada.
9. REQUEST FOR WINNER INFORMATION
9.1 Entrants may request the name of the confirmed Prize winner by contacting La-Z-Boy Vancouver Island in writing within thirty (30) days of the Draw Date.
